As the Board of Education continues to review the Community Task Force recommendations, we are reminded of their work and insight into our district. The Task Force members expressed surprise at several facts about the Howard Suamico School District. For example, did you know the HSSD tax levy remains at $9.19 per $1,000 of property value for the third straight year; this is well below the state average of $9.97 per $1,000 in 2016-17. This fact demonstrates the Board’s policy of fiscal accountability to the taxpayers of our district.
